What We Believe
1. We believe in the existence of God Almighty manifested in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; each one being God and yet all three together being God, a Trinity coexisting from eternity past to eternity future .
2. We believe that the scriptures of both the Old & New Testaments of the Holy Bible are the inspired word of God. In their original form they are without error and represent the authoritative revelation of God unto mankind, His will for our lives, and present the means by which we can find salvation.
3. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He was the very image of God in the flesh, all God and all man. He lived a sinless life, fulfilled the law of righteousness and died in our place bearing our sins and our sicknesses on the cross. Three days and three nights later he was bodily resurrected from the dead. He then entered into the tabernacle of heaven with his own blood, making the final payment to buy us back from sin and death. His resurrection was verified by over 500 witnesses. He ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God making intercession for us.
4. We Believe that as a result of sin, all mankind is totally lost, eternally separated from God, and helpless in their own efforts to be reconciled unto Him. Salvation, including freedom from the penalty of death for sin, is a gift from God and available to all who believe on Jesus Christ, receiving Him as personal savior and therefore being born again of the Spirit of God. Salvation is in no way the result of personal goodness, works, or religious activities.
5. We Believe that the Holy Spirit has been sent by God into the world to convict the world of sin and draw sinners to Jesus Christ for salvation. The Holy Spirit is a divine member of the trinity who indwells believers at the time of their conversion, and sanctifies them progressively, teaches them, guides them, produces spiritual fruit in them and eventually quickens them in the resurrection. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is received by the believer as a secondary experience when the believer is filled totally by the Spirit. The Holy Spirit imparts gifts at His discretion unto believers to equip them for whatever they are called by God to do. All of those gifts remain operational and available in this the church age until the return of Christ.
6. We believe that the true Church consists of all those persons who have been born again of the Spirit of God by believing on Jesus Christ, receiving Him as their savior, and thus uniting them together as a living organism, His body, over which Jesus Himself is head. Only those individuals who are members of the true Church are eligible to become members of the local church. The local body of believers is knit together by the common bond of faith in Christ for the purpose of worship, edification, instruction, fellowship, prayer, the observance of the ordinance of baptism, the celebration of the table of the Lord, and the fulfillment of the great commission to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Water baptism and the table of the Lord are physically symbolic in nature, yet Spiritually powerful to those who believe, and contribute to an individuals salvation experience as a means of public testimony of their faith in Christ. The local church body has the right to be free from the external control of state and national commitees of men.
7. We believe in the imminent appearance of Jesus Christ to gather together (rapture) His church from this world. We
further believe that this rapture of the church will take place prior to the physical return of Jesus (2nd coming) to establish His millennial kingdom on this earth
